Q: Can I make multiple dress listings?
Yes, you can make multiple dress listings. Each time you are contacted about a specific dress a link to the dress listing that is being inquired about will be found in the email inquiry so that you know which of your listings is being inquired about.
Q: Do I have to set up an account to use TheDressList?
Yes, but its really easy! You can even sign up by authenticating through Faceboook. You will be contacted by email from any interested buyers. Your email address will always remain confidential. We will never give your email or contact information to anyone
Q: Does The Dress List facilitate payment or make shipping arrangements between the buyer and seller?
No, those details are entirely up to the buyer and seller for each transaction. Remember, it’s never a good idea to accept wire transfers, money orders or cashier’s checks.
Q: Does it cost anything to use this site?
No, it’s absolutely Free to use this website. We don’t have any hidden fees at all. You do have the option to upgrade the dress listing to feature it for increased visibility, but its totally optional.
Q: How long will my dress be listed?
Your listing will be active for 90 days; after that you can login to the listing management section and relist your dress with the click of a button!
Q: How many images can I upload?
You are able to upload up to 4 total images per listing.
Q: How will I be contacted by interested buyers?
The Dress List will forward you any emails directed to you from interested buyers. Your email address will never be made public until you choose to respond to any inquiries. Consider checking your spam folder on occasion to ensure legitimate emails are being tagged as spam by your email account and check your email often so that you can respond to buyers.
Q: Is The Dress List involved in any transaction?
No, The Dress List is not involved in any transaction when buying or selling a dress or with any vendors. We are just the website that makes it all happen!
Q: What do I do once I sell my dress? How do I remove my listing?
After selling your dress you can remove it by logging in to listing management and clicking on the “mark sold” link.
Q: What if I don't see my city on the website?
As The Dress List continues to grow we keep adding new cities, however we suggest that you let us know by “suggesting a city” and that you list your dress in the next closest city for now, or in the option “City Not Listed.”
Q: Why would I want to buy a used wedding or special occasion dress?
At The Dress List you can find a gorgeous, briefly-worn dress for hundreds or even thousands less than you would pay for a new dress. And while you’re saving money, you’re also reducing your environmental impact by re-using a pre-owned dress.
Q: Will The Dress List buy my dress?
No, The Dress List is designed to facilitate the buying and selling of dresses by private parties. We don’t actually buy or sell any dresses. We are however more than happy to help you sell your dress by listing it on our site.
